Independence & empowerment
Residents cook, shop, budget and travel with as much or as little help as they choose. Skills are built step by step, at each person's pace — and celebrated when they stick.
Premium adult supported-living in the heart of Bournemouth. A real home on Windham Road, with support shaped around each person who lives here.
LifeDirect Supported Living Limited runs one home, and runs it well: a 10-bed supported-living house for adults at 54 Windham Road, Bournemouth. People here hold their own tenancies, keep their own routines and make their own decisions. Our job is to make sure the right support is there when it is wanted.
That might mean help with cooking on a Tuesday and nothing on a Wednesday. It might mean company at a GP appointment, or a hand with a benefits letter. Support follows the person, never the other way round.
Windham Road is a full house, not a facility. Private rooms upstairs and down, shared spaces where people actually spend time, and a garden that gets used all summer.
Staff on site day and night. Support when it's wanted, space when it isn't.
Ten bedrooms, each one lockable, decorated to the person's taste, and theirs alone.
Shared living rooms and a big kitchen table — where film nights, Sunday roasts and long chats happen.
Level paths, raised beds, and seating in the sun. Residents grow what they like.
Discreet door sensors, call points and monitored fire safety — protection without intrusion.
Written with each person, reviewed with each person, and changed whenever life changes.
The measure of good support is what someone can do without it next year. Every plan at Windham Road is built on that idea, and rests on three commitments.

Trained staff around the clock, clear safeguarding, and honest attention to mental health as well as physical health. Feeling safe is what makes everything else possible.
Life happens outside the front door too: college courses, volunteering, clubs, church, the seafront, work. Staff help residents build a life in Bournemouth, not just a routine in a house.
Calm colours, good light, quality flooring and furniture chosen to feel like a home, not an institution.
Sensor lighting, temperature control and call systems that quietly do their job in the background.
Proper mattresses, sturdy wardrobes, comfortable sofas. The things you notice every day, done properly.
Recruited for values, trained continuously, and matched to residents' personalities as well as their needs.
Help with meals, medication, laundry, appointments and money — exactly as much as each person wants.
Staff trained to listen well, spot changes early, and connect residents with the right professional help fast.
A weekly programme shaped by residents: cooking nights, trips, games, gardening, music.
Standing links with local colleges, clubs, employers and volunteer groups across Bournemouth.
Windham Road sits in the Springbourne area of Bournemouth — residential, settled and safe, with everything a person needs to live independently within easy reach.
